Are you ready to dive into a summer of creativity, learning and fun?
Imagine spending your summer exploring the exciting world of theatre, gaining hands-on experience with industry professionals…and getting paid for it! Rubicon has partnered with LAEP/Dreamer Internship Program and VC to offer a unique opportunity for VC students to immerse themselves in the magic of the performing arts.
Join a passionate community of artists who share your love for theatre and creativity. From behind-the-scenes work in stage management, wardrobe, lighting, sound and sets to marketing, publicity and box office, our internship program has something for everyone. Be mentored by Rubicon professionals while helping to bring compelling stories to life all summer long. Your internship will fuel your passion for the arts in an environment that fosters growth and expression.
Who is Eligible?
*Students that are majoring in Theater, who qualify and applied for a PELL grant, can get paid to be a summer intern, by FAFSA (federal financial aid) to address their unmet needs. Students in this category will be paid $18 to $20/hour, based on experience.
*Dreamers who applied for and received the CalDreamer grant. These students need to work their 150 hours in total before getting paid, but it’s a $2500 grant.
Active Dates of Employment
The summer education program will take place from June 17 through August 13. Typical Schedule – 3-6 days a week, 20-40 hours a week (total hours will depend on your grant eligibility details)
