Current Covid Policy

Your health and well-being and that of our actors continues to be our greatest concern. Based on current Covid cases in our County, and CDC and guidelines, we are not requiring proof of vaccination at this time. Masks are not required at this time, but are strongly recommended. We reserve the right to change our policies based on any changes to the risk level in our area. Those who are uncomfortable with our current policy may contact Guest Services at 805.667.2900 between the hours of Noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

To honor our commitment to Actors Equity Association, for the present, audience members may not enter the backstage area or approach the actors during or following a talkback. Our staff members will continue to wear masks except when actively eating or drinking or making announcements from a safe distance.

Wheelchair Access

For patrons using wheelchairs, we have a ramp available in the front of the building which provides access to the auditorium. We regret that currently, we do not have accessible restrooms. If you would like to make a capital contribution to help address this concern, please contact Karyl Lynn Burns at 805.667.2912, ext. 224 or klburns@rubicontheatre.org

Assisted Listening with Hearing Loop

Individuals who are hard of hearing may use their own hearing aids to connect to the Hearing Loop. Alternatively, we can provide Assistive Listening Devices. Our Customer Experience Manager Sandy Aichner can provide instruction, and information sheets are also available at our Concession stand.
