These programs offer students of all ages the opportunity to develop performance and personal skills in a challenging yet nurturing professional environment with top theatre artists and instructors. The Stinky Feet Theatre Workshop

Perfect for the fledgling "star" in your family or the introvert just finding their voice, this exciting two-week program is all about exploring creativity through storytelling and performance. Students in the 5-7 ages group focus on working together as an ensemble while the students ages 8-12 are selected to perform featured roles that are suited to their talent, experience, and maturity. The class culminates with both age groups presenting two public performances on the Rubicon stage. Tuition includes script with an integrated vocal score, accompaniment/vocal CD, and show costumes.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Inspired by “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, The Grunch tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the annual school musical, he comes up with a perfect plan to ruin it for everyone; he’ll steal the sets, costumes and lights the night before it opens. But will the spirit of theatre prevail?

Theatre Camp                                     Ages: 11-14  Tuition: $650

This 3-week camp offers students the chance to expand their performance skills by exposing them to the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing. Perfect for students new to the stage or those looking for a challenge, this workshop encourages risk-taking and growth with nurturing guidance from theatre professionals. Individual attention, ensemble building, character development and improvisation exercises are used to enhance creative expression, positive self-image and confidence. The camp culminates with a fully produced production yet to be determined. Tuition includes script/libretto, accompaniment / vocal CD and costumes.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto your stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.  Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture,  Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR.  follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar. 

 

 



The Fearless Shakespeare Intensive      Ages: 15-24  Tuition: $750

This 4-week intensive is a great way to overcome any anxiety you have in performing Shakespeare. Students immerse themselves in script analysis, scansion and verse work, vocal production and character development. Building on the strength from one another and the leadership of professional theatre artists students will form a tight company of actors. Clarity of story is the focus of these productions allowing the actor to bring one of the Bard's masterpieces to life on the Rubicon stage for a weekend of public performances. This year's production has not yet been determined. Tuition includes script, study guide materials and costumes.

Julius CaesarABOUT THE SHOW
Charismatic military leader Julius Caesar returns to Rome in glory, having just defeated the sons of Pompey, a fellow member of the first Roman triumvirate. Caesar’s growing popularity inspires jealousy and fear amongst the Roman tribunes, and a conspiracy against Caesar takes shape, with Cassius at its head.

Perfect for those seeking to pursue a career in musical theatre, this program offers intermediate to advanced training in acting, singing, and dancing. With supportive and nurturing guidance this workshop encourages risk-taking and individual creative expression.  Personal attention, ensemble building, character development and improvisation exercises are used to enhance performance skills while promoting a positive self-image and confidence, culminating with two-weeks of public performances. Tuition includes script, music, rehearsal CD, and costumes.

One of America's favorite musicals, the stage show features all the beloved characters and songs you remember from the movie - plus additional music and laughs that made the show such a huge hit when it originally opened on Broadway. Sandy and Danny will charm their way into your hearts as they find their way into each other's arms.
