BRIAN McDONALD (Instructor for Acting for High School/Middle School and Director of The Jack Oakie Summer Musical Theatre Camp and Acting Intensive Program) was recently honored with the Ventura Mayor's Award for Emerging Artist. Before moving to the West coast he appeared in the national tours of Miss Saigon and Forever Plaid, the latter of which he also directed for Rubicon in 2002 in addition to several East coast productions. Regionally, he has appeared on the stages of the Denver Center (Room Service), Theatre Virginia (Gifts of the Magi), Lyric Stage (Master Harold.and the boys, and Shaw's You Never Can Tell), La Mirada Performing Arts Center (Grease), and the Ahmanson (3hree). Some of his favorite roles include Robert in The Rimers of Eldtrich, Cathy in Cloud Nine, Jud in Tribute and Clifford in Sideman. His most recent work on stage was in Rubicon's productions of Man of La Mancha and The Importance of Being Earnest. Before that, he appeared in MTG's production of Saturday Night at Pasadena Playhouse and Thousand Oaks Performing Arts Center. In 2002, LA Weekly honored Brian with Best Supporting Actor Award for his performance as Gaveston in Circle X's production of Brecht's Edward II directed by Michael Michetti. Television audiences may have seen him in "In the Shadow of Love: A Teen AIDS Story" the award-winning ABC/PBS Afterschool Special and on "Gilmore Girls." Mr. McDonald joined the Rubicon staff in 2002 as Production Manager and Director of Education. Since then he served as Associate Producer and has supported the company in many areas including casting, marketing and development. He is the founder and program director of Rubicon's Summer Youth Programs which offer theatre training intensives in Musical Theatre, Drama and Technical Theatre. Since its inception in 2002 the program has grown tremendously with enrollment rising from 20 participants in its first year to current numbers reaching 200 students from all over Ventura County. Brian served as Assistant to Tony nominated Director Christopher Renshaw during his development work on Queen the Musical (a.k.a. We Will Rock You) and the Broadway production of The King and I starring Lou Diamond Philips and Donna Murphy. Other directing credits include, Tennessee Williams Talk to me Like the Rain and Let me Listen, Hooters, Our Town, Little Women, Bye Bye Birdie, HONK!, Babes in Arms, Once on this Island, Schoolhouse Rock, LIVE!, and Seussical the Musical. As a producer, he has helped raise funds for AIDS organizations around the country by presenting Cabaret Concerts with some of Broadways brightest stars. Currently, Mr. McDonald continues his work at Rubicon both on and off stage and teaches a Fundamentals of Acting course at Ventura College. Brian is a B.F.A. graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music, Dance and Theatre and a member of the Screen Actors Guild, The Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and Actors' Equity Association. |

STEFONI ROSSITER BURGI (Acting 6-9 and Jack Oakie Summer Musical Theatre Camp Choreographer) got bit by the performance bug when she won the Miss Drill Team California Pageant in 1976. After she was subsequently chosen 3rd runner up in the USA competition, she began choreographing and teaching at dance, drill and pom-pom camps throughout many West Coast and Midwestern states. Stefoni was an original member and captain of the SDSU Jazztecs dance team and also danced with the NYC Manhattan Rhythm Dance Company. Love of dance drove her interests to musical theater and a change in majors from dance to theatre. She graduated with a BA in theatre arts from UC Riverside in 1980. She then studied with Circle in the Square Theatre in NYC, Actors' Center LA, and privately with many professional choreographers, and acting and singing coaches. Stefoni has performed with the San Diego Civic Light Opera, Riverside Civic Light Opera, Mission Inn Dinner Theatre, Actors' Center LA, Exile Players in NYC, and many equity waiver theaters in Los Angeles. Some favorite roles include Nancy Twinkle in Little Mary Sunshine, Jenny Hodges in Three Penny Opera, Kitty Verdun in Charley's Aunt and Ophelia in Hamlet. Stefoni also has film, video and voice-over experience, and is a member of SAG and AFTRA. Working as a dance captain and choreographer in many dance concerts and musical productions has been a highlight in Stefoni's life. Additional work of interest includes judging dance contests and competitions, and serving as a guest artist teacher of musical theatre movement at Riverside City College. Currently, Stefoni and her husband are raising a family in Ventura . There she is the theatre instructor and director at Ventura High School. Stefoni also teaches dance and theatre classes for the city of San Buenaventura. |

JOSEPH FUQUA (Adult Acting Instructor) has been a professional actor for twenty years having graduated from the M.F.A. program at Yale School of Drama where he studied acting with the legendary Earle Gister. Before Yale, Mr. Fuqua also attended many schools and university programs including studies at James Madison University (Communications and Costume Design), S.U.N.Y. Purchase (Voice and Acting), University of London: Birkbreck College (Architecture and Theatre), Rhode Island School of Design (Architecture and Fine Arts) as well as master classes at H.B. Studios with Uta Hagen, (Author of Respect for Acting and Creating a Role). Joseph became a member of the Renegade Cuccaracha Theatre Company in New York City performing for several years in the popular Underground Soap. A membership with the Circle Rep Lab soon followed. Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include Brighton Beach Memoirs, 110 in the Shade (Lincoln Center), Raft of the Medusa and Yours, Anne. Regionally Joseph has appeared on the stage in varying roles of many well known theatres including, Octavius Caesar in Antony and Cleopatra at Actor's Theatre of Louisville, Alexei in A Month in the Country at the Arena Stage, Iago in Othello at the Dallas Shakespeare Festival and Louis in Angels in America at the Dallas Theatre Center. While in Dallas, Joseph Fuqua had the honor of teaching advanced acting at Southern Methodist University with Miss Sheridan Thomas. With the move to Los Angeles in 1997 Mr. Fuqua has worked extensively in television, film and theatre. He has guest starred on “The X-Files,” “The Profiler,” “Brooklyn South,” “The Pretender,” “Chicago Hope,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Becker.” On film, he has appeared in “Ed's Next Move,” “David Searching,” “Heyday,” and as J.E.B. Stuart in “Gettysburg,” a role he reprised in the Warner Brothers film “Gods and Generals” with Robert Duvall. LA audiences have seen him in The Cat's Meow (Drama-Logue Award), Very Truly Yours, On the Jump at South Coast Rep, and All My Sons at the International City/Theatre of Long Beach. He made his professional directorial debut with J for J (featuring Jenny Sullivan and the late great, John Ritter), presented by Rubicon Theatre and 11th Hour Productions at the Court Theatre. In 2000, Joseph joined Rubicon as it's first company member having appeared in over 16 productions with Rubicon, including the title character in Hamlet. He has taught Middle School, High School and Adult acting for the company since that time. Joseph is a member of the Screen Actors' Guild, Actors' Equity Association and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. |

NANCY NUFER (Stinky Feet Theatre Workshop) is a professional actress who has appeared in numerous productions at Ensemble Theatre of Santa Barbara over the past 24 seasons. Her first production with Rubicon was All in the Timing. Other California credits include PCPA, Santa Rosa Repertory, Calyx, several Santa Barbara improv troupes and creating one half of the female comedy team: Evening Bags. Over the course of her acting career she has received a Garland Award, a Dramalogue Award, and several Independent Awards. Nancy has supplemented her acting career as a marketing director, promotional director, arts administrator, disc jockey, KEYT arts and entertainment editor, cable talk show host and weather girl. She taught drama at Santa Barbara Middle School and worked with high schools students in an outreach program she developed for Ensemble Theatre. |

JOHN AINSWORTH is a professional actor who's theatre credits include Yellow Face for S. Mark Taper Forum/Center Theatre Group, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Billy Bibbitt) for Rubicon Theatre Company and The Theatre District. Film credits include "August Peaches," "Roommate Revenge" and "True Love." On television he has appeared on FOX's "Justice," NBC's "Haskett's Chance" (pilot) and the Joel Silver Produced "Next Action Star." John is the Co-Director/Producer of the Young Actors' Theatre Camp, a one week overnight theatre camp for kids ages 8 - 18. He has been teaching acting and on-camera audition technique to kids for the past 6 years and has studied acting with famed Hollywood acting coaches Howard Fine and Marilyn MacIntyre along with Cold Reading Technique with Margie Haber. John is an alumnus of The University Nevada Reno. |

SCOTT PATRICK WAGNER is the former New Works Director for North Coast Repertory Theatre in San Diego, where he created the theater’s New Works program in conjunction with artistic director David Ellenstein. In addition to performing script analysis on several hundred submitted scripts during his three-year tenure, Scott also conducted several dozen story conferences with promising playwrights, and produced and moderated a series of rehearsed readings of new plays, along with feedback sessions with the audiences post-performance. Newly a resident of Ventura County, Scott provides freelance script analysis for the Boston Court Theater in Pasadena, while continuing his own writing. |
